Biography:

19 years ago I was born in the city of Vänersborg in Sweden.

Six years later when I was eating dinner at a restaurant with my family my dad did something I never forget. He pointed at a man that was sitting at the table in front of me. There I could see a long-haired man in a leather coat smoking a cigarette. It was Patrik Sjöberg.

At the time I didn’t know anything about High Jump and I didn’t even know that it was a sport!

So it was not until I was fourteen I discovered the High Jump by myself. It was when we were doing High Jump at class and it didn’t take long till I realized that I had a talent for it. And in those years everything that I thought I was good at were fun so I found the only track and field club where I lived Dals Södra FFI.

I was training seriously and made a lot of progress in a couple of years but suddenly everything stopped because of an injury. In years I tried to come back but my injury was only getting worse and worse and I had to realize that I couldn’t do high jump for the rest of my life.

Meanwhile when I was doing my best in High Jump the Swede Stefan Holm had his breakthrough. It was the year of 2004. He won competition after competition and ended up the season with the Olympic Title! He made me even more interested in the event and I recorded every time he was on television. It was kind of Stefan Holm that saved me when I was injured.  And I thought if I can’t do high jump I can at least watch high jump.

That’s when it all started. Now I am studying the high jump technique and I’m very interested in watching high jump and therefore I also started to collect videos of high jumpers. I wanted to see everything that I missed in the past. Now I have contacts all over the world and I am exchanging videotapes constantly!

By the way I am the creator of “The High jump Marathon” on youtube. But that was a long time ago and now I have lots of more interesting videos of high jumpers that I want to share with you on this site!
